Beautiful & Easy Boho Style Easter Eggs
Every year, designing Easter cards to release is a challenge because I’m not a huge fan of the pastel Easter colour palette! So, when my 11 year old daughter wanted to paint Easter eggs, I had a vision for a beautiful, boho style Easter egg that I could live with.
The secret to getting this look? Brown eggs & white paint!
We hard boiled our eggs for decorating because that’s what my mom did when I was little. No finicky blowing out of yolks, and they aren’t as delicate. And, I’m not telling you to eat them after you're done…but we eat them after we’re done! 😂 #wastenotwantnot
Using brown, hard boiled eggs is so simple, and much less mess than the traditional egg-dying, too. You just need paintbrushes, water based acrylic paint (or another opaque paint), water to rinse your brushes & paper towel.
I used three simple colours that went with my boho theme: yellow, white & pale pink. I also did simple boho type patterns that are easy to do: rainbows, diamonds, hearts, suns & flowers.
These are Easter eggs I can live with! I hope you found this inspiring!
Circling back to what I said about Easter cards being a challenge for me…When all is said and done, I just love our Easter cards! Here’s a look at them. Persistence pays off! I ended up with three very lovely Easter cards (if I do say so myself 🥰). Do you like them?
Leave me a comment to let me know your thoughts on these boho eggs and your feelings on traditional Easter palettes.
Thanks for being here!
With love,
Terri ❤️
